Chris Mansfield

Chris’ fishing adventures started at an early age chasing everything he could in freshwater. As a teenager, Chris started hitting the beach and seeing what we could find in the surf but soon after graduating high school, Chris was called to serve our Nation overseas in the US Army. Chris left for basic training 3 days after high school graduation and deployed to Tal’ Afar’, Iraq from 2006-2007. He left the military in 2012 and upon his return stateside, this combat veteran found the peace and solitude that only the ocean can offer. Chris spent his days after the Army learning what he could on his own and following influencers like the Sinker Guy to learn all he could about surf fishing. These days you’ll likely find Chris on the beaches of Daytona, Ponce Inlet, and New Smyrna Beach casting lines with his high school sweetheart and now wife and their three beautiful children. Chris’ favorite fish to target is Pompano but as he tells us “You can throw a pomp rig out and have no clue on what will be on the end of the line”. Chris now runs guided surf fishing trips at Reel Healin’ Outdoors if you’re in the area and looking to catch fish from the beach. Get more information here: www.reelhealinoutdoors.com.
