Jamin Marshall
Jamin grew up fishing on a small island in Rhode Island. His love for the ocean led him to a career working on lobster boats and building traps. While most of his experience was in the commercial fishing industry targeting striped bass, fluke, tautog, and hauling lobster pots, he also enjoyed fishing local ponds for trout and largemouth bass. In his late twenties, Jamin relocated to Stuart, Florida, and fell in love with the challenges Florida fishing had to offer. He worked on private charters as a mate while working in marine construction building docks and tiki huts. While mostly targeting tuna, mahi, and sailfish, he loved a relaxing day on the flats blue crabbing, chasing snook, tarpon, and redfish by kayak or wade fishing. His most memorable days were blue crabbing and playing horseshoes with friends. These days, you can find him back in his hometown of Newport, R.I. He works as a commercial shell fisherman and owns Newport Bait Company, a mobile bait and tackle/ rental business that rents fishing poles, clam rakes, and blue crab nets. His goal is to bring friends and families together through fishing and spend as much time with his own family as possible.
